Just Because
The Just Because Project Was a multi disciplinary participatory project focussing on the faces behind government statistics, social prejudices and misinformation perpetuated by the British Media. The encouraged unemployed people to have their say about their own situations through sign making and photography. It also took a deeper look into individuals lifes and the organisations that worked with people on the margins of society. The artist spend time with participants visiting their homes and getting to know them as well as spending time with organisations getting to know the issues they faced. The project ended with the final outcome of an exhibition and printed book; which is now available to view online.
